Oklahoma Firefighters Pension & Retirement System, Oklahoma City, committed $50 million to Pacific Investment Management Co.'s Bravo III, said Troy Brown, director of consulting at AndCo Consulting, investment consultant to the $2.3 billion pension fund, in an email.
The PIMCO fund will invest in real estate-oriented securities globally.
The pension fund previously committed $50 million to PIMCO Corporate Opportunities Fund II.
The Bravo III commitment will fall under the pension fund's "other fixed income" portfolio, which has a 5% target.
