Asset management industry executive search firms BraddockMatthews LLC and Grace Point Partners have merged, said spokeswoman Julie Rudnick. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The combined firm, now known as BraddockMatthews, will have offices in New York and Boston, and continue to serve clients across traditional and alternative asset management companies as well as foundations, endowments and family offices.
Grace Point founder Lisa Steele and BraddockMatthews partners Derek Braddock, Bill Matthews and Erin Carroll will co-lead the combined firm as partners, with support of the research, execution and administrative teams from both firms. Prior to this deal, BraddockMatthews had about nine employees, while Grace Point had six. The combined firm expects to add to its headcount.
"BraddockMatthews has known of Grace Point Partners and we share some clients. They've had an excellent reputation," said Mr. Braddock in a phone interview. "For our side, it was about leveraging a top-tier boutique focused on distribution to help us serve our clients better."
In the same interview, Ms. Steele added the two firms were a good fit from both a capabilities and cultural standpoint.
She explained that while Grace Point specialized in sales and marketing and has connections "deep within the hedge fund world," BraddockMatthews was more connected to the private equity, real estate and infrastructure sectors.
"It's perfectly complementary," she said. "Now, we can serve a broader range of clients in a very high-quality manner."
