Maine Public Employees Retirement System's board approved three commitments totaling up to $235 million, said Andrew Sawyer, chief investment officer, in an email.
The $13.6 billion Augusta-based pension fund approved commitments of up to $150 million to Stonepeak Infrastructure Fund III, managed by Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners, up to $50 million to private equity fund GTCR XII and up to $35 million to buyout fund Water Street Healthcare Partners IV.
The commitments are subject to due diligence, legal review and negotiations.
The pension fund previously committed $140 million to Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners II in 2015, $35 million to GTCR XI in 2013 and $25 million to Water Street Healthcare Partners III in 2012.
