Jo Ann Quinif joined Diamond Hill Capital Management as managing director and head of institutional sales, Diamond Hill spokeswoman Alysa Spittle said.
The position is new. Ms. Quinif will oversee the company's institutional sales business. She will report to Lisa Wesolek, chief operating officer and head of distribution.
Ms. Quinif was vice president and director of sales and marketing at Weitz Investment Management. Weitz spokeswoman Gina Ladd said President Ken Stoll is handling her responsibilities while the company seeks a permanent replacement.
Diamond Hill Capital Management had $21 billion in assets under management as of Aug. 31.
