Phil Peters was named executive director and global head of the investor solutions group at Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets, a spokesman said.
Mr. Peters will replace Christopher Frost on Oct. 2. Mr. Frost was appointed president and chief operating officer of Macquarie Infrastructure Corp.
Mr. Peters will lead the global team responsible for MIRA's institutional client base across pension funds, sovereign wealth funds and other institutional investors.
"(Mr. Peters) has a wealth of experience in infrastructure and other real asset classes in Europe and Australia, including five previous years at Macquarie. He will play a key role in helping to further realize our strategy of expanding and diversifying our private funds business into real estate, renewables, energy and agriculture," Martin Stanley, global head of MIRA, said in a news release.
Mr. Peters was previously managing director at Fidante Partners Europe. A spokesman said that his responsibilities were taken over by Cathy Hales, global head of Fidante Partners.
