James Mitchell was named senior vice president, client portfolio manager at American Realty Advisors, confirmed Jay Butterfield, executive managing director and head of business development at the real estate investment firm.
It is a new position.
Mr. Mitchell, who starts Sept. 8 in Chicago, will be responsible for leading ARA's Taft-Hartley sales and client service efforts in the U.S. He reports to Mr. Butterfield.
Previously, he was national director of asset management relationship development for BMO Asset Management. A BMO spokesman could not immediately be reached for information on a replacement.
American Realty Advisors has more than $8.1 billion in assets under management.
