Rahul Ghai joined Partners Group as a managing director with the private markets investor's Singapore-based private real estate team.
The position is new, said a spokeswoman for the firm. Mr. Ghai will focus on direct investments across the Asia-Pacific region, according to a news release by Partners Group. He'll report to Bastian Wolff, managing director and head of private real estate Asia.
Mr. Ghai comes to Partners Group from Deutsche Asset Management, where he served as head of transactions – real estate, Asia-Pacific, and head of real estate for Southeast Asia and Australia.
A Deutsche spokeswoman declined to comment on whether the firm had filled those roles.
