Yasuo Miyajima joined T. Rowe Price Group in Tokyo as head of the firm's institutional investor business for Japan.
The position is new, said a spokesman.
Mr. Miyajima comes to T. Rowe from Prudential Investment Management Japan, where he served as head of that firm's client advisory group, the spokesman said. A Prudential spokesman couldn't immediately be reached for comment.
