Lauderhill Firefighters' Retirement System, Palatka, Fla., hired ClearBridge Investments to manage about $7 million in active domestic large-cap growth equities, said William E. Dahab, partner and director of research at Dahab Associates, investment consultant for the $75 million pension fund.
The pension fund issued an RFP in May for a manager to replace terminated large-cap growth manager Brown Advisory; Mr. Dahab would not comment on the reason for the termination. Other finalists were BMO Global Asset Management and Oak Associates.
