Steve Jones was named group pensions director at Whitbread PLC, London, replacing Lesley Williams, confirmed a spokeswoman for the hospitality company.
Mr. Jones will join Jan. 1, said the spokeswoman. Ms. Williams is retiring in the new year after 11 years with Whitbread. She is also chair of the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association; her two-year tenure ends Oct. 20.
Mr. Jones is currently director-pensions and treasury for Asda Stores Ltd., Leeds, England. Details on a replacement could not be learned; spokesmen could not be reached for comment.
Whitbread had £2.4 billion ($3.1 billion) in group pension assets as of March 2, according to its latest annual report.
