Iain Forrester was appointed head of insurance investment strategy at Aviva Investors, a spokeswoman said.
The position is new. Mr. Forrester focuses on investment strategies for global insurance companies and is responsible for design, management and client delivery.
"(Mr. Forrester) brings a wealth of expertise in insurance asset-liability management and understanding of the complex needs of insurance companies," said John Dewey, head of investment strategy, global investment solutions, in a news release.
Mr. Forrester was investment director, insurance solutions at Standard Life Investments. A spokeswoman could not provide details about his replacement.
