Oklahoma State University Foundation, Stillwater, returned a net 14.4% for its endowment for the fiscal year ended June 30, above its benchmark return of 11.5%, said Ryan Tidwell, managing director of investments, in an email.
Mr. Tidwell declined to provide a breakout of asset class returns but noted the portfolio saw outperformance in every major asset class, with private equity leading the way.
As of June 30, the endowment's asset allocation was 35% long-only equity, 20% directional hedge funds, 14% each private equity and relative-value hedge funds, 7% each real assets and fixed income and 3% cash.
For the three, five, 10 and 15 years ended June 30, the endowment returned an annualized 4.8%, 8.2%, 4.4% and 7.7%, respectively.
The endowment had nearly $1 billion in assets as of June 30, 2016, the most recent data available.
