Ohio State Highway Patrol Retirement System, Columbus, hired Carlyle Group and Partners Group to manage private infrastructure commingled funds totaling $20 million, said Dennis Smith, chief investment officer.
The $849 million pension fund issued an RFP in May for its first infrastructure investments to add further diversification to its real assets portfolio in addition to existing investments in master limited partnerships and timber, Mr. Smith said at the time.
The original RFP called for a private infrastructure manager to run a $20 million commingled fund. Mr. Smith could not be immediately reached to determine how the two managers will split the portfolio.
