Dominique Kobler will join Cheyne Capital Management as a senior member of the risk team, confirmed a spokeswoman for the firm.
The position is new, and Mr. Kobler will be based in London.
He will join in the next few weeks. Further details on his new role and title were not available by press time.
For every investment professional at the alternatives manager, which has $19.1 billion in assets under management, Cheyne has two infrastructure and control executives, said the spokeswoman.
Mr. Kobler was head of risk and performance at BlueBay Asset Management. He left Jan. 31, according to the Financial Services Register of authorized persons. A spokeswoman for BlueBay said he was not directly replaced, with his responsibilities split among executives.
