Benedict Lai was named Asia research manager at Savills Investment Management in Singapore.
The position is new, said a Singapore-based spokeswoman for the company.
Mr. Lai comes to Savills from PGIM Real Estate in Singapore, where he served as assistant vice president – research, Asia-Pacific.
A PGIM spokesman in Singapore declined to comment on a replacement.
Mr. Lai will be responsible for “developing house views on APAC real estate markets and providing thought leadership for new fund ideas and investment themes” for the company, according to a news release Wednesday.
He will report to Kiran Patel, the firm's London-based chief investment officer.
