Ruulke Bagijn is joining Carlyle Group's AlpInvest Partners in the new position of head and managing director of its primaries business, starting Sept. 1, said spokesman Randall Whitestone in an email.
AlpInvest is Carlyle's private equity fund, funds-of-funds and secondaries business. It is part of Carlyle's investment solutions business, which offers investors custom portfolios.
Ms. Bagijn is leaving AXA Investment Managers, where she was global head of real assets private equity and a member of its management board.
Mark Gilligan, head of infrastructure equity will now report directly to Isabelle Scemama, CEO of AXA IM's real assets business, who pioneered the group's real assets investment strategy, according to a written statement from AXA. Further details on replacing Ms. Bagijn were not provided.
"We would like to take this opportunity to thank Ruulke for her contribution to continuing the development and growth of the infrastructure equity team over the past year," the statement said, adding the day-to-day operations of the teams are not affected.
