The Employee Benefits Security Administration at the Department of Labor is looking for people to serve on its ERISA Advisory Council.
Nominations to fill five vacancies are due by Aug. 31.
DOL is looking for one candidate in each of five fields: employee organizations, employers, corporate trusts, investment management and the general public.
Volunteer council members are appointed by the secretary of labor to serve three years on the 15-member council, which meets at least four times per year and makes recommendations to the secretary on various topics.
More details about the council and the nomination process are on the EBSA website.
The council's next meeting in Washington is Aug. 22-24, to discuss ways to make mandated disclosures for employer retirement and health plans more effective.
