Pennsylvania State University's endowment returned a net 12.6% for its fiscal year ended June 30, said a report issued by the university.
The University Park-based endowment currently has $2.62 billion in assets, up 11.5% from the year ended June 30, 2016, when the endowment reported a return of -0.8%. The endowment's three-year annualized return as of June 30 was 4.8%, while the five-year return was 8.6% and 10-year return, 5.6%.
As of June 30, the endowment's asset allocation was 50% equities, 22% private equity and venture capital, 17% fixed income and cash, 7% hedge funds and 4% commodities.
