San Antonio Water System is searching for an investment consultant for its retirement plans, according to an RFP posted on the system's procurement website.
The water system is seeking a consultant "to provide expert advice and assistance relating to SAWS retirement plan investments and the administration of those plans," the RFP said.
The plans are the San Antonio Water System Retirement Plan, a 401(a) plan with $195 million in assets; San Antonio Water System Deferred Compensation Plan, a 457 plan with $40 million in assets; and the District Special Project Retirement Income Plan, a frozen defined benefit plan with $6 million in assets. The consultant would also advise on a retiree health-care trust.
Whether there is a current consultant and whether the firm is eligible to rebid could not be immediately learned.
The RFP is available on the system's procurement website. Proposals are due at 10 a.m. CDT on Sept. 6. A decision is expected by the end of October.
