Texas County & District Retirement System, Austin, committed $30 million to OpenView Venture Partners V, a transaction report from the $27 billion fund showed.
The venture capital fund's portfolio managers will seek opportunities to provide expansion and late-stage capital to high-growth software, new media, internet and technology-enabled companies.
This is the pension fund’s second commitment to an OpenView Venture Partners’ fund. It previously committed $17 million to fund IV.
As of Aug. 10, the fund's year-to-date commitments to 13 private equity and venture capital funds totaled $661 million, according to the report.
