Lucy Barron joined Aon Hewitt's investment consulting team as partner, a spokeswoman said.
The role is new. Ms. Barron works with a broad range of pension funds.
"We are seeing more and more demand for the design, implementation and monitoring of derisking investment strategies — an area in which (Ms. Barron) has specialized — so I am sure she will be an excellent addition to the team," Tim Giles, head of U.K. investment consulting at Aon Hewitt said in a news release.
Ms. Barron previously was head of solutions management at AXA Investment Management. Rob Price was named head of solutions management, U.K. LDI, said a spokeswoman. He previously was senior solutions manager on AXA's LDI team.
