David Roberts and Phil Milburn were appointed fund managers at Liontrust Asset Management, said a spokeswoman.
The two will focus on managing money of three new bonds funds that Liontrust is planning to launch subject to regulatory approvals. They will join the firm in early 2018.
Messrs. Roberts and Milburn "will be an excellent addition to our existing seven fund management teams and we look forward to promoting them to our client base in the U.K. and continental Europe. (They) are experienced fund managers, with a strong long-term track record of performance across a range of fixed income funds," said Liontrust CEO John Ions in a news release.
"(Their) investment style means their funds provide diversification away from many of the other popular fixed-income funds. Another attraction for us is the fact that (they) have a strong investor following, particularly among intermediary clients in the U.K."
Mr. Roberts was previously head of fixed income and Mr. Miburn was head of investment strategy on Kames Capital's fixed-income team. Stephen Snowden and Adrian Hull became co-heads of fixed income effective Thursday, according to a Kames Capital news release. Mr. Snowden had been head of credit at Kames, and Mr. Hull was senior fixed-income investment specialist.
