Jennifer Putney was named director of retirement plans consulting at Portfolio Evaluations Inc., an institutional investing and retirement consulting firm, confirmed Brian Murphy, manager of business development, in an interview.
Ms. Putney started July 31. She "will oversee the firm's service provider research, including the facilitation of fee benchmarking studies and record-keeping vendor searches on behalf of clients," according to a news release Tuesday.
Ms. Putney replaces Jean Martone, who left PEI during the fourth quarter, Mr. Murphy said. Ms. Martone is now executive relationship manager for T. Rowe Price. Gary Pallatta, senior retirement plans consultant at PEI, took on additional duties until Ms. Putney was hired, Mr. Murphy said.
Ms. Putney had been vice president and head of marketing strategy in Prudential Retirement's full service solutions group, confirmed Monique Freeman, a Prudential spokeswoman. Ms. Freeman declined to comment on a replacement.
PEI had $61.7 billion in assets under advisement as of Dec. 31, Mr. Murphy said.
