Shizu Kishimoto will join GAM Holding in Tokyo as representative director and president, overseeing the Zurich-based firm's sales and business operations in Japan.
Ms. Kishimoto, who starts at GAM Japan on Aug. 14, will replace Manabu Tokieda, who left last September for family reasons, said Rossen Djounov, GAM's Hong Kong-based managing director – head of Asia, in an email.
Ms. Kishimoto comes to GAM from Schroder Investment Management Japan, where she served as head of that firm's intermediary business.
A Schroders spokesman confirmed her departure but said there are no details to share at present about a replacement.
