Rhode Island State Investment Commission, Providence, is searching for a general investment consultant for the $8 billion Rhode Island Employees' Retirement System, Providence, said Evan England, spokesman for state Treasurer Seth Magaziner.
The treasurer's office issued an RFP because Mr. Magaziner's policy to put all administrative contracts up for bid by the end of his current four-year term, which ends at the beginning of 2019; current consultant Pension Consulting Alliance is eligible to rebid, Mr. England said.
The treasurer oversees the investment commission.
Proposals are due at 4 p.m. EDT on Sept. 6. A selection is expected before year-end. The RFP is available from the state treasurer's website.
