Los Angeles City Employees' Retirement System could launch an RFP for a private equity consultant as early as a Oct. 23, according to a timeline for the RFP prepared by staff for the board's meeting Tuesday.
The deadline for RFP responses to the $15.7 billion pension plan would be Dec. 15, with a selection made as early as May. Incumbent Portfolio Advisors will be invited to rebid.
Separately, LACERS expects to launch an asset-liability study in the first quarter of 2018, with a selection of a new asset allocation as early as the second quarter, according to LACERS' investment action plan for fiscal year 2018.
