University of New Mexico Hospitals, Albuquerque, is searching for record keepers for its defined contribution plans, said Jeff Gilmore, senior contracts specialist.
The hospital system issued an RFP for one or more record keepers for seven plans because, according to state regulations, it was time to put a new contract under bid, Mr. Gilmore said. The current record keepers are Fidelity Investments for the $318 million UNM Hospital Tax Sheltered Annuity Plan, $24 million UNM Hospitals 457(b) Deferred Compensation Plan and $4 million 401(a) plan; VALIC for the $21 million UNM Medical Group 403(b) Retirement Plan and $1 million UNM Medical Group 457(b) Retirement Plan; and Principal Financial Group for the $7 million UNM Sandoval Regional Medical Center 403(b) Plan. All are eligible to rebid. The RFP is also seeking a record keeper for a newly established UNM Hospitals 414(m) Plan.
Proposals are due at 2 p.m. MDT on Sept. 1. A timeline for a decision was not provided.
The RFP is available on the hospital system's website.
