Lowell (Mass.) Retirement System is searching for an investment consultant for its $339 million defined benefit plan.
The board does not currently have a consultant, as it invests in the $62 billion Massachusetts Pension Reserves Investment Trust Fund, said Shannon Dowd, board administrator. It has a few legacy investments.
The board issued an RFP to see what options are available out there to get the best return, according to Ms. Dowd.
A copy of the RFP can be obtained by contacting Ms. Dowd via phone at 978-674-4094 or via email.
Proposals are due by 4 p.m. EDT on Sept. 7. The board may select a consultant in October, said Ms. Dowd.
