Mark Roemer joined Acadian Asset Management as portfolio manager in London, said a spokeswoman.
Mr. Roemer is responsible for developing the equity investment process across all markets in which Acadian invests. He replaced Patrick McCafferty, who left last year to set up his own company, the spokeswoman added.
"(Mr. Roemer's extensive equity market experience, particularly in small- midcap strategies, complements Acadian's existing offering and allows us to grow our European-based capabilities to ensure we continue to deliver to our global client base," Kelly Young, managing director of Acadian Asset Management U.K. said in a news release.
Mr. Roemer joined from Allianz Global Investors, where he was a director and portfolio manager. Portfolio managers: Kunal Ghosh, Yu Wang, Steve Tael and Jie Wei took over Mr. Roemer's responsibilities for small-cap U.S. and global strategies, said a spokeswoman at Allianz Global Investors.
