James Martin joined Hamilton Lane to lead the private markets manager's business in Australia and New Zealand from its newly established office in Sydney, a Hong Kong-based spokeswoman for the firm said.
Mr. Martin was a vice president, focused on institutional sales and deal origination, with Partners Group in Sydney. A spokeswoman for Partners Group said the opening was filled by a more junior professional.
Sydney is Hamilton Lane's eighth overseas office, and its fourth in the Asia-Pacific region. The firm had $342 billion in assets under management and supervision as of March 31.
