Shawn Hurley will join real estate investment firm Marcus Partners as president, effective Sept. 1, spokeswoman Maureen C. Richardson said in an email.
Mr. Hurley replaces Frank Wuest, who died in August while participating in the Save the Bay fundraising swim in Narragansett Bay, R.I.
"While Shawn will take on the title of president, he brings his own set of skills and experiences that will help Marcus Partners grow by diversifying its property type focus and expanding its offerings," Ms. Richardson wrote.
Mr. Hurley was president and CEO of real estate development firm Skanska USA Commercial Development.
