Antoine Forterre and Matthew Sargaison were named co-CEOs of Man AHL, said a spokeswoman.
The quantitative investment manager is part of Man Group. Messrs. Forterre and Sargaison take on the positions from Sandy Rattray, chief investment officer at Man Group. Mr. Rattray was CEO of AHL alongside that role, but is now focusing on group-level responsibilities, said a person familiar with the matter. Both will continue to report to Mr. Rattray.
Mr. Forterre was chief operating officer and Mr. Sargaison was chief investment officer of Man AHL. Their promotions "will ensure continuity of leadership at Man AHL and put in place an optimal leadership team for the business as it continues to serve its global client base," said a news release Friday.
Nick Granger was named CIO of Man AHL, replacing Mr. Sargaison. He was deputy CIO and co-head of research at Man AHL.
Russell Korgaonkar was appointed to the newly created role of director of investment strategies, taking on responsibility for the firm's institutional solutions business. He also oversees Man AHL's risk premium strategies. He was most recently head of portfolio management.
The person familiar with the matter added that Messrs. Granger and Korgaonkar will retain their existing responsibilities within the business.
Man AHL has $18.8 billion in assets under management.
