The Participant Magazine Winter/Spring 2017: The Longevity Issue

The Longevity issue of The Participant Magazine explores how increasing human life spans are creating new opportunities and challenges for retirement savers. Within the issue, you will find research from State Street Global Advisors and the Stanford Center on Longevity. It focuses on three pillars of longer, better retirements: financial security, healthy living and social engagement. Plan sponsors will gain new insights on how they can support participants by addressing longevity risk within their DC plans, and by adopting specific approaches for each of the pillars. You will also hear from leadership expert Peter Meyers as he talks about why people are reluctant to make change and how they can overcome that internal resistance. Rounding out this issue is a roundtable discussion between three academic experts who breakdown the lastest longevity science and share tips on how employers can respond.

Melissa Kahn, Managing Director Retirement Policy Strategist, State Street Global Advisors
Arin Bratt, Vice President of Research and Product Development, State Street Global Advisors
