Edwina Acheson joined Los Angeles Capital as a managing director in Europe, a spokeswoman said.
The position is new. Ms. Acheson will be responsible for developing institutional client and consultant relationships at Los Angeles Capital's European subsidiary, LACM Global.
"We are thrilled to have (Ms. Acheson) join the U.K. relationship management team," said Thomas Stevens, chairman and CEO of Los Angeles Capital, in a news release.
Ms. Acheson "has a proven track record of success in building relationships with European investors and will play an integral role in helping the firm to execute on several key strategic initiatives, including the expansion of LACM Global's footprint in Europe," said Daniel Allen, president of Los Angeles Capital, in the same release.
LACM Global has $8 billion in assets managed on behalf of U.K. and continental European institutional clients.
Ms. Acheson was a director at Arrowstreet Capital Europe, a subsidiary of Arrowstreet Capital. An Arrowstreet spokesman could not be reached.
