San Antonio Fire & Police Pension Fund invested $17 million in Commonwealth Opportunity Master Fund, said Matthew O'Reilly, chief investment officer of the $2.8 billion pension fund, in an email.
The hedge fund is managed by Commonwealth Opportunity Capital. A search for a global macro manager was launched earlier this year.
The pension fund does not issue RFPs.
