Damian Hill, CEO of REST Industry Super, will leave the A$45 billion ($34 billion) Sydney-based superannuation fund in January 2018.
"I believe now is an appropriate time for me to move to the next stage of my career," Mr. Hill said in a news release on June 23. "After 19 years at REST, more than 11 of them as CEO, I am excited about the prospect of seeking a new management challenge."
Mr. Hill joined REST Super in 1999 as administration manager and was appointed CEO in 2006.
The superannuation fund expects to hire an executive search firm to assist with finding Mr. Hill's replacement. Internal and external candidates are expected to be considered.
A spokeswoman could not immediately be reached for additional information, including information on Mr. Hill's plans.
