Elmer Huh was named chief investment officer at the M. J. Murdock Charitable Trust, the Vancouver, Wash.-based foundation announced in a news release.
Mr. Huh was selected after a national search that included more than 100 candidates. He had been senior vice president of investment banking and alternative asset managers at Ernst & Young Capital Advisors in New York.
He will replace Jim Martin, the current CIO, who plans to retire in 2018.
Mr. Huh will join the $1 billion trust beginning in August.
Officials of the trust were not immediately available for comment.
