Jeffrey Cimini was named senior vice president, retirement product management at Voya Financial, a position that puts him in charge of product management, development, strategy and other operations of Voya's retirement business, the company announced Wednesday.
"This is a leadership position that oversees all aspects of the products offered to our institutional — defined contribution — and retail retirement customers," Joseph Loparco, a Voya spokesman, wrote in an email. Mr. Cimini starts July 3.
Mr. Loparco declined to identify who Mr. Cimini's is replacing, noting that the predecessor left in March "to pursue a new opportunity."
Mr. Cimini had been head of strategy for TIAA-CREF's institutional financial services division as well as head of sales and client services for select institutional clients, according to the news release.
Leslie Sepuka, a spokeswoman for TIAA, did not respond to a request for comment by press time.
