Terri Troy, CEO of the C$1.8 billion ($1.34 billion) Halifax (Nova Scotia) Regional Municipality Pension Plan, will retire in October, according to a news release on the plan's website.
Ms. Troy was the plan's first CEO, appointed in 2006.
She will remain with the plan until a successor is appointed, the release said. The pension committee will conduct a nationwide search for a replacement, but internal and external candidates will be considered. The committee plans to post the position in the near future, said Dan White, co-chairman of the committee.
The plan was 92% funded on an ongoing basis and 61% on a termination basis as of Dec. 31, Mr. White said.
