Johara Farhadieh was named chief investment officer of the $16.16 billion Illinois State Board of Investment, Chicago, a news release said.
Ms. Farhadieh is currently deputy executive director. There are no plans to fill that position, a spokesman said.
Ms. Farhadieh and William R. Atwood, executive director, could not be reached for further information.
