Glynn County, Brunswick, Ga., is searching for a consultant to advise the county on potential changes to its $100 million pension plan, said Tonya D. Miller, the county’s director of administrative services and chief financial officer.
The county issued the RFP for a firm to evaluate the plan “to provide options and guidance regarding freezing, closing, terminating (or annuitizing), and/or replacing the plan with a defined contribution plan or hybrid program,” according to the RFP.
The project would involve an analysis of the administrative cost and fiduciary impacts of various options, the RFP said.
Proposals are due at 2 p.m. EDT on July 12. Ms. Miller said she hopes a selection will be made by the end of August. The RFP is available on the county’s website.
