Tucker Walsh was named head of the small company growth team and U.S. small company growth portfolio manager at Polen Capital, spokesman Nicholas Rust confirmed.
The position is new. Effective July 3, Mr. Walsh will build and head Polen Capital's new domestic small-cap growth team as an autonomous unit out of a new Boston office.
Mr. Walsh is currently recruiting analysts. He will report to CEO Stan Moss.
Mr. Walsh was CEO and head of portfolio management at Copper Rock Capital Partners. Stephen Dexter is the current CEO, according to the company's website.
Polen Capital had $13.1 billion in assets under management as of March 31.
