St. Louis Public School Retirement System hired Neuberger Berman to run a $35 million global multisector fixed-income portfolio.
Recently released board meeting minutes showed the $854 million pension fund conducted a shortlist search for a manager to replace Mondrian Investment Partners, which ran a similar portfolio. The reason for the termination was not provided.
Other finalists were Franklin Templeton Investments and Reams Asset Management. Investment consultant NEPC assisted.
Andrew Clark, executive director, did not return a phone call seeking further information.
