Arkansas Teachers slates $135 million for infrastructure, private equity

Arkansas Teacher Retirement System, Little Rock, approved up to $135 million total in commitments to alternatives, said George Hopkins, director, in an email.

In real assets, the $14.4 billion pension fund committed up to $50 million to IFM Global Infrastructure Fund, managed by IFM Investors, and up to $25 million to Landmark Real Estate Fund VIII, a secondary real estate fund managed by Landmark Partners.

The pension fund previously committed to predecessor fund Landmark Real Estate Fund VI in 2010.

In private equity, the pension fund committed up to $30 million each to NGP Natural Resources XII, managed by NGP Energy Capital Management, and Altaris Health Partners IV, a middle-market buyout fund, managed by Altaris Capital Partners.
