Chris Hamer was named head of consultant relations at BNY Mellon Investment Management, said a spokesman.
Mr. Hamer replaced Ian Williams, who left the firm to take a similar role at Aquila Capital.
Mr. Hamer leads the firm's relationships with global, U.K. and European consultants, reporting to Olivier Cassin, head of institutional distribution Europe.
“The appointment of (Mr. Hamer) is key to our push to developing strong relations with investment consultants across the U.K. and Europe to help further grow our institutional assets,” Mr. Cassin said in a news release.
Mr. Hammer joined from Columbia Threadneedle Investments, where he was consultant relations director for Europe, Middle East and Africa. A spokesman was not available to provide details of a replacement by press time.
BNY Mellon Investment Management has €522 billion ($583 billion) in European assets under management.
