Nashville (Tenn.) & Davidson County Metropolitan Government Employee Benefit Trust Fund committed $5 million to OpenView Venture Partners V, a venture capital fund that invests in technology, software and Internet companies, said Fadi BouSamra, chief investment officer, in an email.
The $2.8 billion pension fund previously made a commitment to OpenView Venture Partners IV. Mr. BouSamra did not say how much was committed.
The pension fund’s private equity target is 10%; as of June 30, 2016, the actual allocation was 15.3%.
Mr. BouSamra did not respond to requests for further information by press time.
