Miami Fire Fighters' and Police Officers' Retirement Trust is conducting a shortlist search for an active domestic large-cap growth equity manager to run about $120 million, said Dania L. Orta, administrator, in an email.
The $1.5 billion pension fund is conducting the search following the board's decision at its May 4 meeting to terminate current manager Jackson Square Partners, which runs a similar portfolio, due to underperformance.
A Jackson Square spokesman could not immediately provide comment.
Ms. Orta said a preliminary report on the search should take place at the board's June 8 meeting.
