HSBC Global Asset Management appointed three responsible investment specialists, all new positions, said a spokesman.
Sandra Carlisle joined as director-responsible investment specialist from Newton Investment Management. Rob Stewart, a multiasset fund manager, has taken over Ms. Carlisle's responsibilities as the head of responsible investment, according to Newton's spokesman.
Helene Winch also joined as senior responsible investment specialist. She was previously a portfolio director at Low Carbon. The firm's spokesman confirmed she was not directly replaced.
Ms. Carlisle and Ms. Winch both report to Melissa McDonald, global head of product-equity and responsible investment.
In addition, Stephanie Maier will join HSBC from Aviva Investors as senior responsible investment specialist in late summer, the HSBC spokesman added. She was head of responsible investment strategy and research at Aviva. An Aviva spokesman was not available to comment on a replacement.
HSBC Global Asset Management had $426 billion in assets under management as of March 31.
