EirGrid PLC, Dublin, hired three firms to provide administration, actuarial and consulting services to its group retirement plans.
The Irish energy firm hired Barnett Waddingham and Willis Risk Services to provide pensions administration, actuarial and consultancy services to the trustees of EirGrid and System Operator Northern Ireland's retirement plans, according to TED.
EirGrid also hired Lane, Clark and Peacock to provide pension-related consultancy, advisory and actuarial services.
The size of the retirement plans and details of incumbent providers could not be learned by press time.
The EirGrid Pension Fund covers two plans that EirGrid PLC sponsors in Ireland — the EirGrid Designated Staff Scheme and the EirGrid Model Scheme — and that invest through a common fund, said search documents published on European procurement website Tenders Electronic Daily in January 2016.
System Operator Northern Ireland, which is owned by EirGrid, sponsors a defined benefit fund and a defined contribution plan known collectively as The SONI Ltd. Pension Scheme.
Spokesmen for EirGrid could not be reached for comment.
