Suni P. Harford was named head of investments at UBS Asset Management, said spokeswoman Sheryl Lee.
Effective in July, she will replace Dawn Fitzpatrick. Ms. Fitzpatrick left UBS in March to become chief investment officer at Soros Fund Management.
Ms. Harford will be responsible for around 500 investment employees and oversee about $600 billion in assets under management across both traditional and alternative asset classes, including active equities, systematic and index investing, fixed income, the UBS O'Connor hedge fund unit, investment solutions, sustainable and impact investing, and trading. She will be based in New York and report to Ulrich Koerner, president of UBS Asset Management.
Ms. Harford was regional head of markets for North America at Citigroup. She was also a member of Citi's pension plan investment committee and a director on the board of Citibank Canada.
